This duo’s books are not just fun for kids to read, but they also teach important life lessons. One of their most famous books is The Bad Seed. The Bad Seed teaches all of us (not just our students) that positive change is always possible.

The Sour Grape Read Aloud
As of November 2022, this book is the newest addition to the Jory John and Pete Oswald food book series. Just like the other wonderful books in the series, The Sour Grape is fun, funny, and educational.

The Sour Grape Summary
In this book, the main character, Grape, is known for holding grudges. Every little thing that somebody does, Grape seems to find reasons to be sour. Even when his friends try to explain what has happened, Grape just begrudgingly ignores them.
Grape soon gets a taste of his own medicine though when one of their friends gets mad and won’t let Grape explain what happened. Now the one on the receiving end of a grudge, Grape realizes how it feels to not be forgiven.
With this new realization, Grape explores what it may be like to give forgiveness rather than hold a grudge.
